Kelly's Heroes Custom Figures

Post by maritime96 » Wed May 29, 2013 6:32 pm

Over the past few months I have been slowly customizing some figures from one of my favorite movies Kelly's Heroes. Hope you guys enjoy seeing them.

All of these figures are a mix of parts from Ultimate Soldier, Dragon, GI Joe and Indiana Jones. Kelly's head (Clint Eastwood) was a custom head I pick up a few years ago from where I don't remember. I hand sculpted Turk's Fezz, Odd Balls "Snoopy Cap" and Moriarty's head scarf. Turks fezz has a little string tassel, but the picture was just too blurry to show. I also hand made the dog tags and Odd Ball's Iron Cross. Most have been hand painted or airbrushed by me, except the rank patches that are decals. I have just started on Odd Ball's tank and will post some photos of that when it's done. Thanks for looking.

8) 8) Kelley's Heros is one of my favorite movies!! These are awesome!!

I love the end when Moriarty is dressed in the German tank crew outfit and is complaining about the Tiger.

Thanks for the compliments on the figures guys. ... Jnewboy the Odd Ball head is a GI Joe 25th Anniversary Rock and Roll head that I cut down a little bit, sculpted the flying cap onto and then repainted. He was actually the first of these figures I finished, and once he was done I knew I had to have the rest so I just went right on going LOL

Thanks Normandy, heard your voice in my head saying "put em up there" while I was doing it. Thanks for giving me the push. :D I Would love to do a few more characters from the movie. It's all about getting heads that are a close enough likeness for me to work with. Any thoughts on a passable head for Karl-Otto Alberty? If I can get one Id do his Tiger commander figure. Also would need ones for Don Rickles and Stuart Margolin with those I could do Crap Game and Little Joe.

Maritime,
Hmm I'll see what I come across... I think you'll stand a better chance with the inventory you guys have in the store.
Here's a link that might interest you... Kelly's tank. Scroll down, what do you think of the posters on the Sherman?
