anyone make pickelhaube?

Post by newwavepop » Sat Mar 16, 2013 1:44 pm

im working on a 1:18 custom i wanted to put a stahlhelm on but my ultimate soldier one wont fit on the head i want to use, was just curious if the forces of valor or dragon or any of the others versions were maybe a little bigger?

also did anyone ever make any 1:18 pickelhaube style helmets?

thank you.

thank you.

I think 21st has the biggest M-35.

No one has made the pickehaube in 1/18th scale.

But someday it will be .

I have found the Dragon 1:18 German Stalhelm are slightly larger than FOV and 21st.
It might be easier to trim down the head or use a head sculpt that fits the helmet.
If you want to use Dragon Action 18 Germans, a word of caution......
.... these two figures have flat heads.

The helmets on these two figures are solid with a peg on the inside, which slides into the top of the figures head.
The other Dragon German figures have full heads and their helmets fit other 1:18 figures.

For detail I like the Forces of Valor German Stalhelm without the camo cover, it looks very much
like the M 40.

As far as the WW I German Pickelhaube, I don't one has been made in 1:18.

Good Luck with your project.

Some dragon ones do not have the flat heads.

As far as I know the two above are the only ones that come that way. The others are full head sculpts.
Just didn't want newwavepop ordering the wrong guys and then say.....what the  .
Hope this helps.

its been a few years now, thought I would dig this old post up and ask if anyone knows if a 1:18 pickelhaube has been made yet?

just searching not too hard I ran into this. not sure if anyone with the knowledge could print this out in a size that would work?

I do not know what scale it is and I do not know anything about 3d imaging. I was just sort of assuming that people that know how it works would be able to take a model and shrink to whatever size they want in the program and print it?
it has a tab that says download, so I'm just guessing that would mean you can download the model and make changes.

@ newwavepop,

IF still interested and IF one of the following helmets meets your expectations, let me know to update the Anyuta 3D printed scale models catalogue with this product too, under 1/18 scale.

@ pickelhaube,

I am waiting newwavepop's answer on how big/wide he prefers to re-scale the helmet for him, since he asked to produce a variety of helmets in 1/18 and maybe 1/20 scale as well and also be compatible with some figures he already have. Since I have the exact dimensions of the helmet, I'll be able to have an answer about a purchase price, because as you know cost is determined by volumetric dimensions and material.

@ newwavepop,

Are you sure about sending properly the measurements? I just checked my inbox and your last answer on 16 March is actually an attempt to reply (by quatting my previous answer) with no text. Can you please check your outbox and try to send your answer again?

Thanks

my pics don't seem to be sending in messages. so ill post them here and see if that works better. I cant seem to locate my metric ruler, so I had to measure these best I could and use a convert app for MM. also I liked the head, don't really care about the bandana if I have to sand it down some.

Newly released 1/18 scale item for sale by Anyuta 3D printed scale models, produced with Frosted Ultra Detail matte translucent plastic material for best results. Everything is designed & 3D printed as accurate as possible to meet collector / modeler's high standards.

SIX pickelhaube helmets included into same package to get the costs per item low. If you need to combine individual items, please let me know. Helmets can also get 3D printed using the FXD - Frosted Xtreme detail matterial which is much better than FUD - Drosted Ultra Detail plastic with double detail density.
