Forgive me if this has been posted before. This is from "SS Das Reich" by Mattson. Trying to figure out what it was before what it became

The vehicle is a SDKFZ 10/5 with light front armor plate and a pak 38 I guess.

Thanks. Looks like VERY light armor.
Note the machine gun mounted over the engine with the curved pieces flaring out. Any engine heat was probably welcomed warmth in that environment.
Guess the driver looks through that slit in the "armor" piece.

That would be a cool custom.............just need a halftrack to start with.

Yes, it's the SDKFZ 10 is a 1 Ton class. It is based on the SDKFZ 250.
