1/32 scale Joe arrives at a small dig site not far from the base of the great pyramids. He pitches his adventure tent in preparation for the exhibition:

Joe trecks a while on foot in search of the Mummy's Tomb before realizing that he will need a vehicle for this desert adventure:

His rugged yellow 6-wheel all terrain vehicle may provide a better method of transportation for the sandy desert:

Joe soon discoveres a partially revealed sarcophagus in the sand.

He attaches a net to the sarcophagus and begins lifting it with a winch from his 6-wheel ATV:

Later, back at his base camp, Joe reads the hieroglyphics on the sarcophagus. Perhaps they can help pinpoint the location of the hidden entrance to the Mummy's Tomb.

Yes, the hieroglyphics prove most valuable. The entrance to the tomb is located a distance away. This time, he will use his desert patrol jeep for quicker speed:

Thanks N. I never made that connection but he does look a bit like Chuck.
He's classic Joe - just missing the life-like chia pet hair.

Thanks P. It's a small scale Joe from a Christmas ornament set with some 1/32 additions (like the jeep, wall, palms, and crates). I had so much fun breaking out the ornament set and creating a classic Joe scene over the weekend. I wish I had a few more Joe additions. I want to tackle a raft scene next.

I had the original set. Always thought it funny how small they made the sarcophagus. It was more like G.I.Joe and the Secret of the Mummy's Son's Tomb.

Always wondered that myself (since the 70s). They made a reissue with a nicely detailed sarcophagus. Unfortunately, I think it was the same height - mini mummy I suppose.

They don't - it's actually a Christmas ornament made into a dio. In fact, the 6-wheel ATV is much smaller. I had to do some trick photography to make it appear 1/32 scale.
