Interesting diorama idea for your Tomcat

Thought this would make a nice Tomcat diorama for any scale. The A-4 is buddy tanking with the Tomcat during an aerial exercise of some kind, at Miramar. Perhaps a 'Top Gun' exercise? Pretty neat i think.

Very interesting pic. The A4 was used primarily to refuel (or more accurately share) with aircraft approaching the carrier without minimum required fuel to make three landing passes should something go wrong. The buddy tank system only transferred enough fuel for this purpose and couldn't carry enough to fully refuel larger aircraft such as the Tomcat. FA-18 Hornets have since taken over the task since the A4 Skyhawk is no longer carried aboard ships.

Too bad there isn't and 18th scale A4 Skyhawk....I'd be first in line!

Why not use the f-18 with tanks on all the hard points?
