Thanks Guys!!
This is the title of a German magazine from December the 10th, 1942. The picture shows the minister for armament and ammunition, Albert Speer, testing the Kettenkrad. The text in the right lower corner of the page says:
"The minister tests himself! In difficult terrain the minister for armament and ammunition, Speer, tests the latest model of the Kettenkrad, which is because of its capabilities off-road and in the mud excellent for the difficult terrain in the east".
Thought it was funny

Really nice weathering Jnewboy. I own the Ultimate Soldier version of this (DAK-paint scheme). You did an excellent job on the the mud effect. Any plan to add a trailer?

Thanks, no no trailer, it was a one time thing, its already sold but it was fun.
It did started out as a "DAK version" also, funny but actually its not really a DAK version at all, the Germans used a paint called "Afrika Corp Tan" on all their vehicles down there, what you have is called Dark Yellow and was a standard paint applied to many vehicles and tanks leaving factories in Germany. I actually took my Kettenkrad down to Sherwin Williams and had them make me a quart of the paint in oil base paint so Ill always have plenty, the stuff is so thick it has to be cut 50/50 with thinner to make it as thin as model paint and be able to airbrush with it...

You're welcome. Thanks for the info regarding the use of the DAK paint. Sounds like you've got a good supply for some future projects.

I was painting a new 222 model last night and ran out of DAK yellow/tan - made me think of you.
