Small Scale Military Headquarters

I bought these at a local discount toyshop today. The reason i bought them is because the steps look alot like the steps of the Reichstag, in general appeaance. Need to remove the metal railings and paint the brick sides, leave out the fence etc.

The problem is, now that i can make a section of steps to the Reichstag, so what? Not sure what to do with them. I already made a piece with soviet troops running up stairs with a Russian flag, so that's out.

Any suggestions? Doesn't have to be Reichstag related, just a good use for these stairs.

Well... anything really. You might find a way to put them in a dio. Have a sidewalk leading up to them. Maybe some grass work. Once the modern looking rail and fence are gone, they will look great!

What about a sniper's or machine gun nest at the top landing ?

i was thinking of something similar. A stalingrad type vignette with lots of rubble on the steps and russian troops lining the stairs, firing from behind the rubble. I'm sure i've seen pictures similar to that from the battle of stalingrad.

How wide is the stair case? I was wondering if the 21st French bombed out Building would fit at the top.

How much was the staircase? I've seen the prices on this Tech Deck stuff and they seem high for what it is.
May have to look for after holiday sales......

it's about 6 inches wide i guess. I got it for $15. Besides the stairs there are 2 side walls and a fence so i think i'll get good use out of it.

I've got a stack of Tech Deck stuff for simply display purposes... Some of it is awesome, some requires work. A lot works right out of the box though as just a nice big assed display for figures.
