Custom M2 Bradley by Robbie!

Post by 8416w » Wed Sep 21, 2011 1:47 pm

This started out life as a Motorworks M2 Bradley with the diecast hull. I sent it to Robbie (Pickle's friend) and he performed is artistic magic! The time period is the first gulf war. Notice the chocolate chip desert BDU's. Enjoy the photos!

That looks fantastic! Particularly fond of the weathering effect and the way the cammon on the figures came out.

AFAIK the weathering on modern vehicles (Particularly US stuff) is always kept up and taken care of. So I doubt one would ever come close to looking like this. As for the model aspects... The weathering is a real eye catcher and that bradley is an AMAZING addition to any scale army!!!!

Looks like Robbie did it again.

I wish I had one of these for my collection.

The Brad almost looks real. The gear on top is a nice addition. :D

Why not?
Unless it's sitting safe in a clean warehouse it's going to get dirty and exposed to the elements, ie. weathered. Rust and damage and missing pieces are one thing but you can't drive a vehicle around in the field without it getting "weathered".
I don't see anything in 8416w's example that looks overly beaten up or different from pictures of real Bradley's.

Nice job by the way.

Trust me they got that dirty...i served eight years and it looks like sand and some rust...ours looked the same way...thats why we cleaned them all the time..but in the desert its hard to keep anything clean

True. Now that I look at it again, there really is no rust at all...

I just figured from pics I've seen they all seam pretty clean under the circumstances. But, you would know more actually being around them! :D
