Marine Hummer HX based on the 1/18 Maisto Concept

Post by acisne » Mon Apr 18, 2011 9:15 am

First off, this is my first "military" diecast mod, so I have much to learn. Although, I have been modding plastic and 1/18 regular diecast for a while.

Somehow I ended up with two of these, so I decided to repaint one. My original thought was to make one like the one in Transformers 2, but when I research it, it had too many parts that would had to be custom made. So, I decided to make a Marine "dream ride". But once I had it painted, it looked too "clean", so I weathered some. It is not complete as I need to build mounts for the guns and affix/glue it all together. This will eventually be a diorama.

Tips, ideas, suggestions, criticism welcomed!

It was a Concept that Hummer had on the show circuit in 2008. It was supposed to be the H4. It got canned along all of Hummer. The underpinnings will live on as the base of the 2012 Colorados/Canyons.
