Here is some more of that customized FOV Stug I showed you guys a preview of a while back. I had to wait for my paint supplier to restock Tamiya XF-60 Dark Yellow before I could continue the painting. I'm not sure I like my execution of the tri-tone, but let me know what you guys think.

Well is has been quite a long time since I've updated you on this one. After almost four months of sitting on my desk I finally decided to dust it off and finish it. And to give you an idea of just how close it was to being done, it only took me a day to get it finished. Without further ado, here are the pics of the finished vehicle:

I have already described what I've done to this stug, and the only thing different that has been added since the last update are the schurzen and the filters/washes.

And if any of you are wondering, "Kevin, how on earth can you have a project one day away from being completed and then wait 3 1/2 months before you finish it?" Well if there is anything in this hobby I like more than anything it's the building of a custom vehicle. By building I mean the initial idea, the gathering of the raw materials, and then ultimately taking those materials and then making something cool materialize. The painting part is where I get a little bored. Not to offend those that love to paint or anything, it's just not as fun to me as the steps before it. So after I get done building something, most of the time I won't even move on to the painting stage, I',ll just start building the next custom. And if I do actually start painting a project, there is a good possibility that some other project will distract me and the painting will be postponed for a long time. So at any given time I'll have several (5-10) projects on my desk, most of which are in the build stage, and only 1 or 2 in the paint stage (if any). And on that note I will close out this update with a preview of some of what I am working on currently.

Thanks guys, I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out as well :D

And Jim, it is going to be a Type 82e, the beetle on the kubelwagen chasis. I bought some cheapy broken FOV kubels from I think foxhole toys a while back (like $5 each), and then used one of those as the chassis and the body is a Owner's Club 1/32 1950 Beetle with some of its embellishments taken off. I am making a Afrika Korps version to go along with my growing DAK contingent

Can anyone guess what the green turret will be?

Great work on that Stug, PanzerArm! I'm really impressed with the way the zimermit came out.

Plasticboy, there is a 1:16 Stug III. Larger than 1:18, but as close as we can get unless Pikelhaube makes one...
