weathering armour

I need help can anyone tell me howto get that blackend steel look on old exposed and chippid parts on armour or any other tips im mostly do aircraft so this is new to me

The easiest way is to use Tamiya gun metal. Try DRY brushing the edges you want to show wear.

If you want to get fancy, hand paint chips like I have done on my panzers.
That is hard though, trying to keep it looking natural.
I better get those guys finished

For items such as grab handles or areas such as crew access points where paint has been worn away by constant use;
Get an HB pencil and shave out the graphite, then crush it into a powder. This can be rubbed onto the area of the model you want to weather, either using your finger, or a Q-tip, then gently buffed to a shiny metal finish.
As with any weathering process, best try on a wrecker/scrap model first, to make sure you're happy with both the application process and the finish your getting.
