What do you guys use the PTE Bridge for?

I've got a Power Team wooden bridge playset coming and i've been mulling over what to do with the bridge. It's not realistic to have a tank crossing it, and i doubt one would fit anyway.

What uses have you come up with? Looking for idears.

Have a look at this picture, from "grunt1" found in the foxhole's customer gallery:

I agree that no tank is light enough to cross the bridge without falling into the river.

I have that bridge and have been wanting to use it for a Vietnam bridge in dio.
Ran out of room on my last Vietnam dio to use it.

yeah that's a good idea too. I was thinking it would be good for a civil war era dio as well. Too bad BBI never released their civil war figures.

Most of the time my PTE bridge has been packed away, but it is really best used for figures and light vehicles - nothing heavier than a truck. Anything larger than the Command Car starts to look a little big on it. A tank won't fit on it and a halftrack would look awkward - never mind fall through if the thing were real. As said above, the bridge seems to work best in some sort of Pacific or Vietnam type dio, though it also works in a European setting as well. It goes pretty much anywhere you have a shallow river.

The bridge itself is constructed quite well and really resembles something more in-line with the 21c diorama pieces or even a Pola building than PTE 8)

I've used it for figures and support vehicles too... Good for Nam era stuff.

I've also used it for Star Wars stuff as a hastily engineered bridge for soldiers/tracked/wheeled stuff. Some mods to it can imply pontoons under it and things as just a supply bridge. It's one of my favorite pieces from PTE.

I wish they'd do a wider stone modular bridge then. Something that could easily get a repaint to any color you wanted so it fit in with a desert setting or european or whatnot. That 21st Toys bridge was sorely missed when it got cancelled.

Yes that bridge works really well as a jungle footbridge. I like the pontoon idea. I wonder if it resembles any of the various European Theater Bailey's bridges that were used. I could also see it being used as some sort of fence propped up vertically and with some bits trimmed off. It also has a nice war torn used look with lots of chips and gaps. It could also work as the bed walls of an Opel Blitz, Maultier or Ford of some kind.

Here's a closeup:
