pickelhaube customs

Post by ram04 » Sun Nov 14, 2010 1:01 am

I know lately that pickelhaube has put alot of custom work out, does anyone have theirs done yet?

Myself, I'm working on the dozer kit and have got it about 90% done, I was just wondering who has got his customs done?

It would be neat to see what everyone has done with his kits, the 222 pictures were great and the Sherman varients, but no one has really posted the latest stuff ( me included ).

i was trying to post some pics of my buddy Robbie's projects. But do not know how to transfer them from e-mail to here.

He has almost everything that I have made and has done a fantastic job on them.

You just need to download them off your email server and once they are on your PC re-upload them to whatever online photo service you use.

Well, heres the Dozer as I have got to so far, a few little fabbing and sanding and paint and it will be ready, I don't have a dedicated work staion ( sometimes in the polebarn or at the kitchen table ).

This is where I keep my collection in the house and I am still working on getting things organized.

I can't remember when we got that entertainment center, needless to say its old, this room is above the garage and it has caught all the castoffs of furniture over the years, but now its mine :D

Thanks for the comments.

It took me a while to take the plunge into Pickelhaube's custom kits and my first was the SDK-222 earlier this year. It was sort of a trial by fire that turned into one of my favorite 1:18 vehicles  I've since built the German motorcycle sidecar and various other small projects and am seriously considering the T-34 when its ready. Pickelhaube's kits do require a bit of work (mainly sanding and puttying) but are well crafted and quality work. I'm no master model-builder, but have been very pleased with the results I've gotten from Pickelhaube's kits :D

Here are some of my completed projects:

Ram 04,

You are lucky to have a place to display your stuff. I get banished out to the shed :(

T Man,

Sweet !!!!!!!

I take pride and joy looking at you guys use of my kits.

In a lot of ways I am green with envy because you guys get them and build them and put them on display.

I just don't have the time to build anything for myself anymore. Sure I build them for other guys but that is it , other guys.

I finally learned how to down load pics off of e-mail. Here are a few pics of Master Modeler Robbie P. of Oregon handy work.

He gets just about everything that I make and then takes them to a whole other level.

I have a lot more if you guys would like , I will post them in the post that I tried to make but could not get the pics to work.

Check these out this guys has skills :D :D :D

Thats what I like about this site, you have all different skill levels, I really enjoy seeing everyones work, some guys are better than others, but we all enjoy the same thing.

Thanks Pickel,
I still want to do a DAP version of the blackhawk if you ever get enough interest to do the different winglets, chain gun, etc...
I saw someone is wanting to do the Blackhawk Skis - that would be cool, but I'm saving my last blackhawk (still in the box) for a DAP gunship.
One of these days maybe?
