stunning work. You two (ph and robbie) should team up and sell some of these on ebay. Put them on auction for high-ish starting bids and see how high they go.

Think that is a fantastic idea, and proposition, Pickel.

And $100ish seems very reasonable.

Not much of a 1/18 armour collector myself, but I think that there would definitely be interest in these projects.

You could even post on Ebay, and give Jnewboy a run for his money.

Things are hard all over and as you guessed it he is not painting very many portraits and scenery paintings as he normally does.

I suggested to him , why don't you paint customs . He could be down for this if there is interest.

All of these posted pieces of armor are highly customized.

I asked him can you do a custom paint jobs on a Sherman or tiger or what ever as consignments ?

He said that he could. For $100 he can take a standard 1/18 model and bring it to life. If the customer pays both way for shipping.

Is there interest ?
Yes! I'm interested! :-). You guys are both artists!

Jnewboy wrote:The T-34 is excellent, does he use graphite on the edges?

He uses graphite and Tamiya gun metal dry brushing.

I have talked to him about doing a FOV 1/18 Sherman to show as a proof of concept.

Hopefully we can see something by the weekend.

As I stated before all the models I have posted are highly modified with a lot of gear. He will ( hopefully ) take the plain Jane FOV out of the box and do his thing.

Heck I may be his first customer :D

I still can't believe he doesn't use an airbrush. True skill!

Well I guess it is a sign of the times .

My buddy Robbie is starting to get out of the 1/18 scale hobby.

He will continue to collect 1/16 and 1/6 pieces of armor.

Partly because I have not had the time to make any new projects.

I have been trading with him to get some of these works of art .

In a week or so I will be receiving:

M-3 tank destroyer
USMC Sherman with wading trunks
Gaz-AA
Sherman with dozer blade

I already have his :

Firefly
T-34/76

I had his Sdkfz 222 and unfortunately I traded it in a recent trade acquiring a 1/6 scale Panther.

Still I was sad to see it go and I still do not have one in my collection. :( :( :(
