Like most others, I could not stand the color of the POC HISS Mk. V either, so I decided to do a Snow Terrain version to go along with my Snow Troopers.

What brand of paint and colort did you use? Very nice!

Planning to do the same to mine. The brown is just awful and I love arctic theme. What paint did you use? And where did those side cannons come from? I don't mind the modular weapons hasbro has been using but I wish they'd at least give us enough to fill the holes.

the new Hiss just looks dumb..not that the original looked like a Competent or Effective design either.

I think the best HISS was the one with the troop compartment, HISS II? IIRC it was a blueish color(remembering from my Kid days)

I dig the new HISS v5. I think it has a very "Metal Gear Solid" look.
The color reminds me of the octocamo material.

I like the arctic theme. It's a necessity, really. We have an urban themed already, now we just need a tri color woodland or jungle pattern.

well I like the ammo-belts feeding the back cannon and the real treads are a huge plus..but the whole vehicle just looks too fragile for combat..like AT-STs really. Too heavy for Recon, Too light to fight, IMO.

The side cannons are off the new GI Joe POC Vamp.

they look similar but I sorted it out by digging through the pile of spring loaded ROC stuff and they're the cannon that came with Sgt. Stone or Breaker (can't tell which one).

They look great on the HISS, almost like they're made for it.

The HISS on the other hand is major fail. I actually returned mine to WM. the spring riser would not stay in the down position, it would not roll on the treads, and on entire side of the tracks kept popping loose. Add in the lame color plastic that requires a repaint and it just sucks. I actually like the design, though I'd like it a lot more with a proper windshield and weapons to fill all the holes.
