DAK Panzer IV Project

I scored a Short Barrel Panzer IV RC for $32.00 shipped. I 've decided to make this a DAK version. Unfortunatly my modeling skills are limited, so I won't be moding hatches, or cuppulas.
I've gutted it and filled in the holes where the skirting baracket holes were. I have some extra smoke tubes from a Tiger project, not sure if I should add them to the Panzer. Any suggestions or ref material would be greatly appreciated.

OH! Ima making a vid on how I amateurishly remade this! It is almost done!
I made a new muffler and everything! Not perfect but looks GREAT!
The road wheels are the same.... Im not a rivet counter.

Spielberger's book "
Panzer IV & it's Variants" from Schiffer Military Publishing is one of the better references available, and it won't strain your budget too severely.

Panzer IVs didnt use those smoke lauvchers, As for the turret details, if anyone ask, tell them it is a rebuilt D model with F1 model turret. Thats what I plan to say about my Eastern front version.

That is one way to put all those rivet counters to rest...all you need is a good cover story.

LOL... very true. I mean it doesn't get much simpler than a DAK repaint after all, because you basically only need one color... pretty much any shade of tan or sand yellow..

If anyone says it doesn't match up with this or that "RAL" color spec, just tell em' it's been faded by the African sun...
