FOV 1:32 Elefant Markings Added

I think most people who own the 1:32 FOV Elefant would agree it's a nice model, but to me it looked kind of forlorn and "empty" with no vehicle numbers or markings at all, so I decided to take matters into my own hands and add some. The numbers and German Cross on the turret sides are 1/35 scale Archers dry transfers. The markings don't represent any particular unit or organization, my only desire was to add some visual improvement to the model, and I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out. That is a very nice model FOV came out with. The addition of numbers and Crosses do add interest to an already impressive offering.
I would love to see one in 1:18th, I know Aferguson made one using one of those paper/card kits.....it looks great, but unless Pickelhaube, the Hun or Grunt makes one I don't think we'll see an Elephant or Ferdinand in plastic in this scale.
Any how, Ostketten your Elefant looks mint!!!

Well, don't give up hope entirely. The pic below is of a 1/16 RC Elefant from the Shanghai Model Exhibition, so somebody is at least thinking about making one. I know it's not 1/18 but it's not far off either.

Looks great,ostketten.
I picked up the Elefant about six months ago,but decided to give Dragon armour a try.
Glad I did,as it is really nice. Not as heavy as FoV,and mostly plastic, but the level of detail is great.
Not much of an armour guy, with only about a dozen models.Would like to get more Dragon 1/35,but their selection in 1/35 is limited. And I already have the FoV TigerI,and Panther.
But I would highly recommend the Dragon 1/35 lineup.

looks great osketten.
wish FOV would've done this in the first place.
'cause if they had, it'd be on my shelf right now.

Ostketten, looks great! Is that the grass mat reviewed on this forum a while back? Outstanding display.
I agree the Elefant is "drab", and definitely looks better w/markings...So, where can I get the dry transfers you used - Hope you don't mind if I copy what you did!

Yeah, the grass mat is one from Build-A-Rama that has been discussed here before. The transfers are from Archers and are easy to apply and nice looking. I don't mind at all if you copy.... so long as you show us some pics of your work...
