Frankly I don't think those Cypress sprigs are going to make particularly realistic looking XD Pine trees, unless you want pine boughs with needles the size of broom handles, but it will be interesting to see your pics... 8) I ran across a new line of model scenics trees from an outfit called JTT Microscale. I had an opportunity to look at some up close and personal on a recent visit to my local Hobby Town store, and I was impressed with what I saw. They are intended for model railroad layouts, but they offer a full line of trees in various styles and sizes that should work well with 1/18, 1/32, and 1/72. They aren't cheap, but the quality is as good or better than anything I've ever seen from Woodland scenics, who used to be the gold standard for this kind of thing, and they even offer a line of palm trees, something I don't think Woodland ever did. For what it's worth, the JTT trees are getting generally great reviews from the model railroad guys, who are pretty choosy about this kind of stuff. Anyhow, I think they are worth a look for military modelers, and I'm probably gonna get some myself for 32X and 1/72 dio's.

Nice site, thanks for the link. I guess the G scale trees would work well in 1:18th.
