Battle damage question.

Doing some mild battle damage to a Tiger which involves a repaint. Bullet hits, small caliber anti-tank rounds, gouges, etc. Question is this, not sure whether to paint first and then do the battle damage or do the battle damage and then paint. If painted first, the damage will expose the grey underneath which looks similiar to natural metal or will the exposed area need to then be painted a darker metal color. If painted last, I guess the whole tank will look like it was repainted during repairs since the battle damage will be the same color as the whole tank (DAK). Any opinions?

Depends on your battle damage. Big caliber stuff will be darked blackish. Smaller caliber natural metal lead color or silverish.

Do the battle damage and what ever you touch up should be a different color than the actual tank. So you should be safe.
