Hi all,
nearly finished. Need a little bit more mud and snow at the tracks and the guy at the bonnet needs his binoculars.
What do you think about it?
Happy new year and regards from Germany

very nice.....indy truck + sdkfz 251 chassis + ph vierling i presume?

it's clearly a bit underscale but looks awesome regardless. I think that's going to be on my to do list for later this year. Thanks for the inspiration.

:)

edit: i see what you did....you pulled a little slight of hand. In order to get the necessary length of the halftrack you've hidden the rear part of the running gear, which isn't actually there because it's too short, under the tarps....creating the illusion the running gear is longer than it is.

Sharp eyes  !!!!!
You are right, this was the only way to give it the necessary length.

CK....i've used tricks like that in the past with other projects and i was aware that the sdkfz 251 chassis would be too small and short to hold a vierling, so i was wondering how you pulled it off and noticed your little deception.

I never thought of using the trick with a sdkfz 7 custom though....so i'll probably eventually give it a try, unless miracle of miracles dragon releases their sdkfz 7 that they've been sitting on for years and years.

Beautiful work. What did you use for the floor under the vierling and the fold down doors?

Very nice indeed 8)
Beat me to the punch. I was going to make my second SDkfz 9 (which your model would be due to the chassie of the 251. Neither the less, it is a cool model !!! I plan on doing mine with a slightly longer bed with fold down jumpseats behind the drivers seat. I have the indy vehicles standing by as well as a couple 251s to donate their track sections. They will get the dou-dualys like the dragon wagon I created :) So many ideas and so little time  Like tonight setting up the HD Tv we got for Christmas, yep everything is running behind schedule
