I bought these concrete steps today. Mine don't have any grafitti on them, fortunately. I thought they'd make a great little street fighting vignette for Stalingrad or Berlin etc.

How much, what are they made of, and what's the scale...?? If the material is not too dense (like resin) it would be pretty easy to create some bullet pockmarks & shell craters, then paint for a realistic look, and yeah, perfect for Berlin/Stalingrad.

i don't know what the scale is but they'd work well for 1/18. The rise on the steps is about 8 scale inches or so, so they're quite realistic. I haven't openend them yet but i think they're a heavy plastic...pretty solid feeling box.

hollywood high looks really good.....although i'm not sure about the railings on the steps. Don't know if they had that back in the 40's. The rest of it looks great. Didn't see that one.

I saw the swimming pool but didn t have a clue what to do with it. Fill it with blue tinted water and then....?

Anyway, i'm still mulling over what to do with the steps i've got. I thought maybe a stalingrad scene with 2 or 3 russians using the steps for cover or a battle of berlin scene (the steps look more berlin-ish than stalingrad-ish to me...not sure why) with a slogan like 'kapitulieren? nein!' painted on the side of the steps and my 1/16 t-34 driving by. Maybe with a dead german or two on the steps, some rubble, chip them up a bit etc. Still mulling....

maybe i'll pretend these are the stairs of the reichstag and have a couple of russians running up them with a flag. :)
