Great looking dio. All you need is a little smoke in the background and you're good to go.

Red, i assume you made the Higgins boat out of wood? I'm thinking of making a basic one out of foam board...don't really have the tools or woodworking skills to make a wooden one.

Great lookig pics.
Is this done on a lakeshore, or pond?
I've been trying to figure out a way to make a man made beech, for D-Day pics any suggestions?
Keep up the great work.

That was a serious Banzai charge. The Japanese made it to the water before theywere eliminated. Great photos and story Red.

Hey yall!!! Thanks for all the nice comments!!! Some of yall have ask a few ?'s so hear we go!!! The higgins boat is a 1:18 custom I made out of wood about 3 years ago!!! I plan to do a large scale diorama at this spot--- soon I hope--- with alot more of my beloved Marines,LVTs,Tanks,Higgins boats, smoke, blood, and maybe some other stuff as well!!! The site is on the lake bank by my house---there is a creek that feeds the lake about 75-100 yards away and dumps alot of sand on the bank!!!I might do some B/W pics because alot of folks ask for me to!!! FRITZKRIEG---Try makeing a rectangle out of 2x4s,put plywood on the bottem, waterproof the joints with caulk, cover the inside with plastic, fill with sand---but make a ramp---1 side higher than the other, and then pour water on the side that would be the bottem of the ramp!!!This is the easiest way I can think of to make a man made beach!!!But hey---you live in FLA.dont you??? Head down the the beach and take a few pics there!!!
I know I would if I lived in FLA. or near any beach!!! Thanks again!!!---RED---
