Hey guys was there a tropical Spitfire made with clipped wings? I think I remember seeing one in US markings. Does anybody have any pics of one ?
Thanks

I'd be in If you casted the full plane. Ive been trying to get one for months, but with no luck..pickelhaube wrote:Would anbody want the larger trop filter for the Spit ?
I am not sure if a mod is worth doing for the wing tips.
All you have to do is cut the tip off. Throw a styreen dowl on it and sand to shape.

I think until we get a new 1/18th Spitfire this project should be put ho hold....I don't think too many of us are going to want and cut ours up.

I will not put any of my original ones under the knife. The one custom I did was on an Ebay damaged plane, and with great help from the members here it will be complete with a canopy in a week or so. Not all of us had the foresight to buy two of everything.VMF115 wrote:I think until we get a new 1/18th Spitfire this project should be put ho hold....I don't think too many of us are going to want and cut ours up.

To tell you the truth I was thinking of casting the whole plane . With my mods. But it will be higher then what they are selling for on e-bay. But it will be a custom plane.cranedriver wrote:You most likely will have to have someone cast you a whole new plane if you are waiting to see these at retail again.... from what I understand the molds for these were broken/destroyed which is a shame.
Any thoughts on this ?
