It is indeed a cool looking vehicle, but I think it would be tough to scratchbuild a turret for the XD Patton, not impossible mind you, but tough. The M247 "Sgt. York" DIVAD was a great concept at the time, but it was doomed to failure from the beginning due to problems with the fire control radar, slow turret rotation speeds which made it difficult or impossible to track high speed low flying targets, and the inability of the M48 chassis it was based on to keep pace with new AFV's it was supposed to protect.... ie. the Abrams and Bradley. The first three problems were of a largely technical nature that could have been corrected with further development of the M247 DIVAD's systems, the last flaw however (slower speed of the M48 chassis) proved to be insurmountable and spelled the end of the M247 program as a viable air defense platform. Still, I've always thought this was a very cool looking vehicle with a futuristic look to it, and it would make an awesome model in the larger scales like XD or 1/16th.
