After a long hiatus I finally found time to put the finishing touches on my HL Stug III RC. The tank and Panzer crew were painted by our member Cabe, whose talents are already known to many of you, and the tracks and a few other minor things were done by yours truly. I'm quite pleased with the way it looks, and it's a great running RC model as well. I'm going to try and do some outdoor shots soon, with stowage from BAR, and some 1/18 FOV & Dragon figures, which go well with the 1/16 crew IMO. Hope you guys enjoy the pics. That model is great. the paint job is simply spot on. I like the idea that although it looks like a masterpiece to place in a glass cabinet, it can also pick up it's skirt and roll around in the dirt.

Looks great ostketten, only thing I would do is drill out the MG barrel, add a lens to the gunner's scope, add antennas, loose the goofy LED light on the right fender and plug the IR sensor in the mantlet...but thats just me. Outstanding work by you and Cabe.

Thanks guys. The LED on the fender let's you know the tank status (ie. on/off/running) it could be hidden but I'm not sure about removed. The LED in the end of the gun barrel is a high intensity flash unit, and the one in the mantlet is the IR emitter, that could be painted over (or plugged as you suggested) if you don't intend to battle other IR tanks. The IR sensor (receiver) on the Stug III sits high in the commanders hatch. Here's a couple close up shots that show the excellent detail of the figures, some more fine work by Cabe...
