1/18 MH-60L/M 160th Cockpit & Cabin project

Post by Tambo » Wed Feb 04, 2009 4:16 pm

Since we have so many experts working on the outside of the BlackHawk, I'm going inside. My plan is to detail the inside. I teach all the Avionics/Electrical/Survivalbility & Weapon systems for the NightStalkers and I use my toys in the classroom so I'd like to get all the details I can. My goal is to make all the inside stuff and all the Antennas that we use in and add all the big stiff that Pickelhaube is making in his kit (probe, MMR, FLIR)

I began today with the cockpit center instrument panel, center console and the overhead panel.

Those of you guys doing this version I'd be glad to help out.

what do you guys think?

Looks awesome. Is this going to be a simple water slide decal set? I'd be in.
Go Ugly Early in 1/18!!

Still waiting and wishing for a 1/18 A-10 Warthog.

Right now they are printed on super High quality thick Kodak inkjet photo stock. I think these will hold up better then standard decals. Many of you will not want to remove the cockpit and split the fuselage for fear of damage. With these it would require some minor sanding of the current cockpit and with waterslide decals the panels would need to be 100% smooth.

For those of you doing the Pave Hawk version the cockpit looks nothing like this. If some are interested in that version I'll make some. If you are doing the L/M version drop me a PM.

Does anyone know how to remove the middle seating out of the Pave Hawk, and will you be able to replace it? I made a litter basket for medivac purposes. I kinda need the space in the middle free..
