Removing accessories

I've seen some of you do some fantastic repaints and customs on existing armor pieces. As I undertake my picklewind project, I was wondering if anyone had some suggestions on a clearer or easier way to remove all of the various shovels, rods, fire extinguishers, spare tracks, etc.. from the hull so that they would be fairly easy to re-install after the new paint was applied.

Any help or thoughts greatly appreciated!

If you are doing this on a 21c Panzer IV chasis, it should be rather easy to remove most of the smaller tool accessories. They are all technically "loose" pieces, attached via the little brackets. They should just pull off. You may want to use a small flat-head screwdriver or a pocket knife blade to carefully pry off the stiffer ones. Some parts, like the little fire extinguisher on the left-front fender do not come off as easily, but can be repainted after you have painted the vehicle. You will have to pry off the spare track links on the right side of the hull, as well as the spare-wheel rack on the left side. Any remaining holes in the tank hull can be filled in with putty.

Hope that helps a little :D
