FYI
You can buy a large sheet of plastic that looks like brick or stone and glue it on the wood frame. The sheets are 18" X 36" and you can get them at Menard's for $10. This is what I used on my Buddy L railroad buildings. I glue foamboard to the frame and then glue the plastic sheet to the foamboard. It works alot better that way.
I would also like to see the pics.

I had been considering building a section of this bridge in my basement.
It would be a big project. It would take alot of brick too.
I'm still leaning toward building a lift bridge though.
BTW, I did notice that the plastic brick was already being discounted 10% last week. Stock up!

17 inches on each side of the bridge that has not been completed yet.
I am doing the work over at a buddy's place he has the tools and the space.
It's 47.5 inches long when done it will be around 80+ inches give or take a few inches

The one in the movie or the real bridge? I need planes or detailed pics of the one from the movie
Also depends on how this one sells.

Are you going to paint it doing any special techniques or anything?
Just looking at it I was thinking a light grey base, then lay down some intricate (this would be tedious but I think worth it) network of thin tape strips in the form of cobblestone, and then get some of that rock-like textured spraypaint and spray it down...
After that remove the strips and you'd have the mortar between cobblestone. That's a big ole bridge and would take a while to do that masking work, but I think it would totally be worth it. Very nicely done custom though overall so far, and fun to look at.
This is a part of the boards I only ever look at and don't jump into often, but this really gave me the urge to post. Makes me long for a big ole bridge of my own now... I'm more into working with plastics though... May have to give it a try someday.

Now Hasbro, make us some Head Sculpt & Endor Uniform variations! The new Rebel Fleet Trooper gets the JJ Seal of Approval Though!

I will have to take a look at that idea of yours...but on this bridge I am using rocks....having a bridge with real stone is priceless,,even if it's veneered.

I am going to sell it..to the lucky one who gets it...the rocks are small and we estimate that it will not be that heavy..the wood itself is heaver then the total mass of rocks we are useing.
