1/18 Scale Predator

I've been working on this one for a while. Since there were no true 1/18 scale Predator figures (the Hot Toys Snap Kits were closer to 1/20) I decided to make my own. The arms, torso and upper legs are from a GI Joe 25th Anniversary Nemesis Immortal figure and the Predator heads, torso and lower legs and backpack come from the McFarlane series 2 Diorama figures and the gauntlets, hands and shoulder gun come from the Hot Toys Snap Kits. It has a ball jointed torso, feet, hips, wrists, shoulders, elbows, basic joints at the knees and the shoulder cannon rotates side to side and moves up and down to simulate the stored and firing positions. The head is something new I tinkered with. Since I wanted a masked and unmasked predator, the heads have a metal ball and inside the neck area is a magnet. So you can interchange the heads and still maintain a ball joint. Comments are appreciated. I included a 4" Forces of valor German Soldier next to the predator to show the size difference. The Predator standsd at about 4.5 inches tall. The German figure is on a stand and you can still see the Predator towers over him.Enjoy

That would make a cool movie, a predator landing in WWII. Amid the most catastrophic war in human history, it would be reasonable to believe that a little predator killing might have been overlooked

That German soldier better turn around QUICK!
"GRRRRRRRrr, MUNCH!"
too late...
Great custom.
Have you tried this with the Colonial Marine that Hot Toys makes?
I would like to see that.

Uhm, what about the Takara Microman figures? Hard to get and quite expensive but excellent with proper 1/6th style articulation on a 1/18th figure, I'm still hunting for mine, pardon the pun.

I just sold my collection of Takara Predators on Ebay, save one Elder Predator.
They are really nice figures, and yeah, somewhat hard to find.
Whenever I do find them, they aren't TERRIBLY expensive...maybe $30 a figure. They are really nice, though.
The only gripe I've ever had for the Takara figures is concerning the details on the maskless heads...the detail and realism is somewhat lacking.
That's a nice custom, though. I'd pose that fighting GI Joes anyday.

Thanks for the comments. I have a couple more predators I am working on. I am planning on finishing a total of seven. I had one of the Microman Predators. While they are nice, they were a bit short for my taste and tended to break at the joints (maybe I just had a bad one)

Oh.. It's that predator. When I first saw the thread I thought you meant the UAV. I would love to see one of those in 1/18...
