Yeah I pass by them in the store and that is one eye-catching feature, it looks good stock, but you made it amazing. Great job!

Yoxy you did a fine job on the Serman. That $4oo Shermy has nothing on you except it is made out of metal. You my XD brother have some talent.

But

The cast turret is something that I DO NOT LIKE ABOUT THE FOV SHERMAN. It is way too rough. If it were 1-1 scale the texture would be rough enough to hide a foot ball in. It needs to be sanded down. It almost looks like they took the texture right from an actual sand casting.

Thanks for all the kind words…yea I know, Pickelhaube, I even started to sand it down a bit but was not getting a good result…so until I can get another M4 and experiment I will live with the “overcast”
(much like the weather here in Michigan)

Actually the mantlet has a very good cast effect, wish they had toned it down to that level on the turret.

Excellent work there! It looks just as good as the $450 variant made by the same company  I really need to get the sandbags on the front of my FOV Sherman - it just looks better 8)

Your Sherman looks great. Another nice feature of the FOV Sherman are the weld marks where the hull pieces are fastened together. Your weathering brings that out nicely.

thanks guys

Yes made the sandbags. After looking at the 1/16 FOV bags, figured I could make my own. I used 2 packages of Sculpey Clay I found at Michaels crafts on sale for .99, formed it onto the places on the bow that worked cut a "seam" into the side and then baked the buggers @ 275 for 15 minuets. Painted them with Polly Scale “earth” and MIG weathering powder.
