I am always blown away by the really cool and detailed custom work that comes from the members of this board.
I am amazed by the folks here that scratch build and modify exsisting XD items. I guess you guys gave me some inspiration to finish a little project of my own.
So, I have some Series 1 Germans Machine Gunners I got in a lot of XD items/figures from Ebay awhile ago. All 6 had their right foot off, cut right through the peg that holds them onto the ankle. The Series 1 are not as fixable IMO as the current crop of D-Day and up XD figures, where you can swap out each part of their legs.
So, I had been thinking on how to fix these figures. A thought popped in my head to drill a hole in the boot/foot part and the leg and connect them with a makeshift peg of some sort. I looked all over my parts boxes for the right diameter and right material item to convert to a peg. I ended up using an old bully club from a BBI cop figure I had. I cut off a little bit of the bully club stuck it into the boot and then pushed the rest into the hole in the bottom of the figure's leg. The XD MG figs can stand up and look like regular Series 1 German Machine Gunners with no sign of their former crippling condition.
Call me the XD surgeon.
"Dr. Razor, you are wanted in surgery. Series 1 XD figures are lining the walls for your famous "foot transplant"

I use this method all the time, when moding my XD and FOV. I use the molding trees frm model kits to make the dowls. I like to use a thicker dowl to keep it durable fo play. This method works great for head transplants as well.
