After purchasing a defective halftrack from TRU, I sold the main body to a friend for customizing and here's what I have left:

Not much, but I'm looking for ideas on what to do with them, hopefully to incorporate them into some custom German armor. But what

How about a SDkfz 7 or 11 as some say.
Here's the one I'm working on
I used both the driving wheels and track assembly, and also the front wheels. Other that that, the body is made with parts from 2 Indy troop cars and the hood from an Indy cargo truck
It's a great project, yet I've been short on time to finish it

Looks like the left overs after a couple of 500 pounders from a P-47.

Well...
How good are you at building?
When you say custom german armor are you talking about a fantasy piece or something accurate?
If you are going for fantasy, then there is nothing stopping you.
If you are going for accurate you've got a couple of different halftrack options.
1. Sdkfz 11- uses all the same wheels tracks and running gear as the Sdkfz 251, you would just need to make a new body for it.
2. Sdkfz 250- With some work you could make a pretty good one of these as another member has done very nicely.

The Sd Kfz 11 Zugkraftwagen was built on the 251 chassis, and is fairly easy to make as it has all straight lines:

Thanks. The one in the background is the 1/35th AVF club version which I used for a pattern.

Thanks for the suggestions! The Sd kfz 11 is probably the one I will build.
