NVA Remake

Post by Razor17019 » Fri Apr 04, 2008 10:19 pm

I was lucky enough to come across a "lot" of XD items on Ebay about a week ago. The seller had various items of interest to me in his lot. 2 things in particular caught my eye- the upper half of 2 NVA XD figures. He had NVA arms and Viet Cong legs - it was like a VN smorgasborg of body parts. I was able to win the auction and got the lot a few days ago.

I had some of the knelling legs from the new US Vietnam figs and wanted to use them to add knelling legs to my NVA fig. So, I tried pulling out the plastic piece that the legs attach to and attaches to the uppper body and ended up breaking it off. So, I drilled a small hole into the upper body of the NVA and was able to make a place for the knelling legs to slide into the upper torso of the NVA:

Here is the figure all together:

Here is the NVA in his underground bunker:

Thanks! :D If I had better painting tools, I would attempt to make the 2 different color uniforms match closer in shade. The top is light green the bottom is dark green.

No, I didn't make the bunker. Some very talented guy on Ebay had it for sale and I purchased it. I am making it the center point in my Vietnam base I am working on. I will be adding a helio pad, river delta and maybe a bridge to the dio display.

I will post pics of the bunker and dio that surrounds it at a later date.
It was too good to pass up.
