Does anyone have any pics with images of grant tank markings for the N.Africa campaign? Doesn't have to be UL, any commonwealth will do as long as they fought in desert.
Fender insignias, turret embles etc. whatever
also, was the desert tan paint that was put on US built tanks just as durable as the ETO olive green?
have been told it was very hard to chip, but what about other colors?
Was the green over sprayed with the tan?
I was told the base coat was a red oxide. On any USA tank was there any other replacing red oxide or in concert along with the red primer?
