Yup, that's the one. It's a real pickle to build but a fantastic piece once it's done. I made several modifications to it as well. The wheels work, the carriage is also operational and can be deployed in firing (as pictured) or towed position and the gun elevation works though I still need to tweak that a bit more. I'll post a thread on it when I get a chance.

Wow Zelda, if you are serious send me a PM. I've been contemplating making at least one more and with your master painter skills it would be a real beauty!

Good Eye Aferg. I have been wanting that howitzer for a while now. I have a 1/15th scale Tiger but I'm to busy to build it right now. Nice job grunt1. The halftrack is awesome.

wow, i'm as impressed that you built the sfh18 as i am the opel. Those verlinden kits are pigs to put together...makes a beautiful model when done though. Even though it's fairly overscale it looks great with the figures....partially i guess cos xd figures are on the big side anyway. I like the mods you did to it too.....very impressive.
Did you ever get a Trumpeter 1/16 T-34?...i know you weren't sure at one point because of its scale.

I haven't yet. Horribly tempted though. I think it's the lack of 1:18 Russian figures that's holding me back.

It's a Highway 61 1940 Ford truck.
