Well, fellows
the NAM 21st figures have been out for a few weeks now and I have not seen any pics posted therefore, I decided to have my 1/18 Cav. unit to be the first soldiers who embark in a tour of duty!
Let me know what you think of the pics below.
I hope you like them!

Nice dio but you have to modify your M113. Those used in Viet-Nam had no smoke discharger, no CIP panels and no extra fuel tank.

Nice dio, but I recently watched an interview with a 'Nam Vet and he said they didn't 'dangle' their legs over the side of the M113 because if they ran over a mine, it would take the legs right off.
Nice figures!

thanks for the comments fellows
as for the M113 modifications, I know it is not an exact look of a NAM M113 but I do not like to alter my vehicles too much.
As for the dangling legs....I agree that the legs would be prone to mine explosions but in many NAM documentaries the guys are seen riding the M113 with the legs dangling....therefore, I decided to do it that way....but I understand that there are other ways to ride.
As for combining the old and the new, I always like to combine everything that i have relevant to a period...it makes it look more realistic and diverse.
Once again thanks for the nice comments!

Panzer,
I got my NAM Series 2 (The new figures 173rd Airborne figures) at my local TRU.
Hopefully, you can find them at your local TRU.
I'm now waiting for more of them to show in my local TRU so that I can expand my troops.
NAM is my favorite era....

Great idea for making the Vietnam figures "sit"

After reading this thread, I tried it out with a couple of mine that I had sitting in the back of my M151 Mutt. It makes a much more realistic sitting pose and they fit better into the rear seats than when using the regular legs!
21c's new trend of combining their articulation with the static poses used on Dragon figures seems to work pretty well

Nice job.
Getting the holes covered on the sides is a pain. I ended up using a bunch of stuff from Build-a-Rama. I've got one I tried to putty, and I'm just not happy with the results, plus it's ALOT of work.
