Holy ****
This is incredible Bar! Do you build props for Sci-fi movies? And in 4 weeks to boot, serious awesome
Worth the long wait for the pics to download, the pics of the process just makes it even more impressive, draws you in and won't let go, like you're somehow witnessing a piece of art come to life
I see The Stig feigning indifference, bet he's dying to take it for a spin on the track up in the atmosphere

Lol. You are the only person to mention the Stig...
I was waiting for someone to see him.
I don't build props for movies. If only...
I am close to the end on the Arvus. Not a lot of details to go till it's done.
But i was a bit burned out on it today, so i decided to do a little different stuff.
I made a brick wall out of blue foam for a friend who does wargaming, and made a quick mockup of the Destiny from Stargate universe. I still need to add a bit of detail to it, but i expect if i can get another hour on it tomorrow it will look good enough to sit next to the Daedalus comfortably.
I know this isn't Arvus progress. But it's what i did at work today:

Here is today's progress. I added the sheet to cover the previous screw holes and painted all parts first black then white. The white will be gently sanded eventually for areas of wear, going to the black undercoat, with metal colour underneath that.
That will be later. For now, here are pics of today's colours(Enjoy):

Re: 1/20 scale Warhammer scratchbuild project(Arvus Lighter)
I have been forgetting to update here...
I have been working on the paintwork.
I got a bit more done today.
I have dialled up the panelling grime. Don't panic with the first image of the exterior... The idea was to make it really thick and then dial it down again with more misted white. The inside has to be really overcooked because of the way the white LEDs will flood the thing with light.
Here are the latest pics(Including a couple for scale with 1/18 F-16 and F-18).
Enjoy:
