Thanks guys!
I forgot to work on some little bits and pieces, like the spare track links. The stock tracks links have the molded track hangers on them, so I have to remove it, in order for the track links to fit to the aftermarket track holders.

And here it is with the molded track holders removed.

I was toying with the idea of drilling a hole through each track's guide horns, but decided against it. The guidehorn hole has a distinct shape to it that would be difficult to replicate. and I'm planning on replacing these stock plastic parts with the more detailed metal tracks in the near future...so no use expanding too much effort on these pieces.
And the weathering process is complete!

Here's a pic of the metal tow cable from Schumo. I need to re-do it, because some of the paint flaked off while I was gluing it together. I should glued everything together, before I painted it. Lesson learned.

Here's the tank commander.

I just need to paint and weather the rest of the tools, paint the tank commander, and I'm all done!

Thanks! Now to detail the tank commander.
Added PE parts and assembled the headset.

Airbrushed the base coat for the camo.

Camo job done, painted on the belts, collar tabs, etc. Also did a heavy oil wash, in order to show off the details.

DISASTER!
Hmmm I should have realized that oil wash = very slippery. The figure slipped out of my hands, and fell on the floor. Suffice to say, the head snapped clean off and ruined the paint job. It was a modified head to begin with...I guess I didn't glue it enough.

Thanks guys.
I just pretended he got decapitated by a lucky 76.2mm hit.
Seeing I'm a lazy bastard and don't feel like stripping off all the paint, re-apply the primer, etc, I decided to come up with an alternative.
I have a 1/16th Joachim Pieper figure from my FOV King Tiger that I never use, so I decided to "demote" Joachim Pieper.
Here's the "new" tank commander, with his new head. The FOV head was re-painted, but I left the cap in stock paint job, except I painted the red lining to white. No use of re-doing something that's already looks good.

I need to get some silver paint when I go shopping.
