Great pics of the two scales. It would be cool to use the two Tigers 1:18th and 1:16th in a dio to get a forced perspective look.

Yoxford your work is simply amazing, what did you use for parts like the track link and the track link holders, what did you use for the loaders hatch?
Colonel "Madman" Maddox: Let me hear your guns!
Captain Wild Bill Kelso: My what?
Colonel "Madman" Maddox: Your guns! Ack, ack, ack, ack, ack!
Captain Wild Bill Kelso: [fires his airplane's guns] AHHHH!

Thanks for the kind words VMF115,

The track links and link holders are actually 1/16 scale links “cut” down to 1/18 via power sander and hand file. The holders are also diecast 1/16 but spaced for 1/18.

And except for the bucket hanging on the jack, that’s it for “stealing” from 1/16 scale parts.

The exhaust shrouds, exhaust deflector plates and the fire extinguisher are from a 21st Century Tiger 1. Everything else was scratch built with left over PE bits, plastic scrap, etc.

For the loaders hatch, I sanded down the molded handles, bent wire for new handles and plastic scrap for the hatch retainer arm.

The two things that gave me the most problems were the rear deck screen frames and the side tow cable holders. The latter because I could not find the right width/strength material to use. (Plastic too flimsy, PE scrap too thin, brass too thick) I finally stumbled on staple gun staples cut and bent properly are perfect for 1/18 cable holder material.
The sign of a great model is that one’s eye is not drawn to any one feature, yet one can study it for hours and continually find something new.
