I sent them both replys and we are going to decide on a deadline, rules, and if there are going to be a subject or not. If there isn't going to be a subject the people who are going to take part in this contest can do any thing from vietnam, marine, dak whatever :D Just waiting a reply and then we will get things going

We are working through the criteria for this, and should have an opening announcement with rules etc very soon...
so, gentlemen (and ladies) start your engines!

So question:

Is this going to be Historical, Semi-Historical or Fictional setups?

meaning some research into the date/timeframe of the scene?

OOBs(Order of Battles) and TO&E(Tables of Org and Equipment) respected...mean if your doing a Afrika bit..No Panthers or Tiger IIs..or various other things that were not either around cause they were not invented yet or not represented in the Theather of Operations.

Asking cause for the last week I've been reading everybook I have, taking notes of units involved in the conflicts I am debating on doing.

Got it down to three ideas.

Biggest question I have is will these be for permanent diorammas, or temporary? By temporary, I mean someone taking their collection outside, recreating the Battle of Kursk on a hill, snapping a few pictures, and hauling in back inside. For permanent, I'm thinking something made on a display base, where most of the details are glued down. I would like to see more of the later, where it takes a little more effort to make something contest worthy.
