i purchased Sub Kill Decals from bad cat for my avenger. Does anyone have photos of an avenger with sub kills? Please post here. I want to make sure I apply correctly. Thanks

Sub Kill Markings

Post by Folkwulfe » Sat Jul 28, 2007 3:25 pm

Problem is....I can't find a single picture of an Avenger with a sub kill marking. Most of the kill markings (including the ones you have from Bad Cat) were displayed on the conning tower of the carrier the aircraft flew from. Unlike air/air kills, most Navy and Marine aircraft did not display them....they were very hard to verify. Here's a picture of the USS Bogue after a kill mark was added....you'll see what I mean.

I hate being right....Don't you just hate it when you're right? Kinda makes all that reading on the toilet worthwhile.....well maybe not.
