I agree RED it would be nice to see more dios (i have started one but it's quite a big project so will take a while to do.)

I think it's down to Vehicles in 1:18 there are a lot of vehicles to customise into different versions etc meaning that people have less time for dios but in 1:6th they have VERY few Vehicles available and so they focus on fig and dio customs. just a thought
If interrested in seeing more of my customs check out

Here's some of mine:

These pictures are between 1 and 3 years old, some are good and others not quite so. I haven't really had the time lately to make and photograph a new diorama, but I have all the troops, vehicles, and buildings ready for when the opportunity presents itself 8)

While not dioramas, here are some vignettes I'd done with what was at hand. And may explain the 1/6 dioramas out there.

It is possible that a lot of 1/6 and 1/18 guys are just not into dioramas. Sure we group a bunch of fugures by group and set up a vehicle with a crew for display but they are not dioramas. Personally, I have around 50 1/6 vehicles and another 15 artillery/flack guns and another 80-100 figures.

Unless I had a gym to set dios up in, even if I wanted dios, I don't think I'd be interested in taking up the space.

My 1/18 vehicles include one or more of every one made and I'm happy with displaying them on shelves.

To each it's own.

Scope I think you nailed it, for me at least.. I spend most of my time fiddling with the actual 1:18 stuff by itself and don't really ever get around to setting up a big scene..

I did have a blast earlier this year building a german bunker and trench system in my yard though.. Have to find and post those photos.

I think it would be fantastic to do Dio`s.

Forme it`s fear of small little girls "attacking" my "toys" when they are laid out.

Plus my biggest problem,is photogrophy :( When I made my Predator team (Dutch, mac,Blain etc) I did take some Outdoor Dio photos to mimic the movie.
They were not the greatest photos, most certainly not compared to you guys here who pull that off so easily.
Hell I don`t always get good photos of my static custom figures...LOL

I will however try to do a WWII Dio in the upcoming weeks,as I`d love to see my armour out to play with Inf :D

Huh, at least little girls don't jump up on the shelf to get at 'em...

Check out the dios set up by these 1/6 guys in CT:

Now these guys are not as serious as the fanatic Brit 1/6 guys, but they are pretty good.

Now that is some serious scale collecting and diorama scenes.
