Arctic Soldier Microman Style

Post by steelbonnet » Tue Dec 12, 2006 2:06 pm

Well I noticed I didn`t post him here :( Sorry guys.Talking to ScopeUK made me realise that..LOL

So here goes..........................

Hi all,

Well first off a BIG thank`s to ScopeUK for the white`s (hooded jacket & trousers) & Black chest rig.

The head is a BBI Devgru with baseball cap removed & sculpted on top of head/forehead & hair. The hair I`ve tried to capture is sweaty (due to warmth & hat wearing).
The original cap has been dremelled out too so it still fits this modded head.

The boots are from a Beachhead figure. The rifle is one of mine,a Heckler Kock MSG-90.The Snow goggles I carved off an head & added an Elastic strap.

The ski`s & poles are GIJOE Snowjob v1 & the Skidoo is a diecast 1/18th Polaris.
When/IF winter hit`s here with snow I do plan on a few action shots,as I`ve got clothing for a few more Arctic guys ;)

Hope you like this Microman version of an Arctic trooper.
Personnally this is certainly one figure who benifits from a Microman body for posability & realistic sking styles.

Ja

SB, you've done it again man! :D Very cool and I hate repeating myself, but very 1/6th-ish level of detail!

Are the micro-men a UK thing or are these something you can get anywhere? This is now the third or fourth project someone has used them as fodder for.

Thank`s Very Much & Glad you like him :D

Grunt1,
Yea well if you have the right cloth uniform & accs, making Microman look like a 1/6th figure isn`t that hard & thank`s to Scope & a couple of other guys as well as my own dabble into cloth stuff, hearing comments like these make it all worth while :D Thank`s mate.

Shadow83,
Thank`s very much mate ;D

Brian,
Cheer`s :D

Scope,
Again Thank`s for the the package mate of goodies. There will be some others coming next year :D As for the Black chest Rig looking Blue. I`ve found some Black material do that with Indoor photos (Not all materials). Must be the way that the material id dyed? Outside it does look Black though. IF any snow hit us as said I`ll be taking some OUTDOOR shots with him & some other guys too ;)

As for your Devgru head,No probs will give him the same treatment. You want the cap hollowing out too? to still use with the redone head?

Again Thank`s for all the kind words :D

Ja

I think Snowjob was one of my favorite Joe figures so I immediately recognized those skis. He looks great!
