1:18 Jagdpanzer IV/70 Lang
Here are a couple shots of a 1:18 Jagdpanzer IV/70 Lang conversion in progress.
The white parts are .080 thick sheet styrene. The barrel is a 3/8" hardwood dowel tapered, and the mantlett and pig's snout are resin castings from masters made from Bondo.
For research I used the Tamiya 1/35 kit and the book Jagdpanzer in the Tanks in Detail series.

Great job lang version is by far the best you have done a great job.I have built one of these in 1/6 it's big never finished it yet.The 2 front road wheels on each side of your tank will have to be reworked I believe they were solid wheel to handle wieght of barrel. If you decide to cast barrel and mantle I would be interested.

Yes, I can do that. But I'm not happy with the first versions and I will re-do the masters. When you see I have posted the final version, shoot me a PM as I am new here and not permitted to post in the buy/sell section.zonetoys wrote: I like the casting job! Any chance you will offer the castings after you are done?

I did a little poking around, and discovered some interesting photos. It appears that there was at least one Lang with just one solid road wheel, and some that had no solid road wheels. I of course included a nice photo of the two solid-wheel configuration for reference.
If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. Then quit. No use being a damn fool about it.
