1st ID MP

Post by lsc1002 » Tue Jul 18, 2006 6:42 pm

This is my 1st ID motorcycle MP. There is not very much custom work on the figure; new head, very little paint and a couple of decals. The Harley has some new accessories and decals on it; again not too much custom work.

Looks good!
Does he fit on the bike pretty well, I know the series 1 figures make good drivers (I only have 1)

Very nice!

How did you get the "MP" on his helmet? It looks very crisp and clear.

Thanks for the kind words guys! :D
Mediump. He does not fit on the bike very well at all. If anyone has any ideas please let me know.

MajorHoover, The MP decals are made by Verdenlin for 120mm figures. The decals work well on 1/18 figures. THe decale sheet comes with all kinds of cool stuff. The link below will take you to a sit that sells the decal sheet.

Thanks again!

I went to that link and out of curiousity hit the next button. Found the sheet of german decals (Nice!) but as I kept hitting the next button I kept finding more 120mm goodies (MG's, bazookas, lamp posts, barrels, boxes, c-rats, etc......)

Does all of the 120mm stuff generally work well with 1:18 or just the decals?

My heart hopes the answer is yes, my wallet says no.. :D

Some of it does, decals, the german decals/medals and buildings. I got a 120mm scale Mortor but have not put it together yet. I will let you guys know how it turns out scale wise

Found a different link/view of the same gear. Top of this page says it's 1:15 scale.

I'd guess the weapons would look pretty out of whack, but not sure that would matter much for barrels, food stuff, etc..? Unless you're a real stickler for scale on your cheese wheels and bread loafs. :-D

A cheaper route to go is to get dollhouse accessories at Hobby Lobby. They sometimes have 1/2 off coupon on their website for dollhouse accessories, so it make them dirt cheap.
There is good detail on the items. But they do not have any weapons... :(

Grunt,
I will send you some pics of some of the items I have from there.

Razor, How do you know if the accessories are the correct size?

If the store sells rulers or tape measure's, I borrow one (don't forget to return it) and compare the item to 4 inches(size of a 1/18 figure) and decide if it looks right. 90mm stuff is usually close to 1/18.

I don't if they are "exactly" 1/18 - but they look right and figures fit in the chairs...

Nice work mate, very nice work indeed :D

Not sure if you saw the 2 I posted earlier this year of Motorcycle riders?

I actually used the torsos from an XD & a BBI & used PTE legs & arms so they actually sit on the bikes as riders.

Though as for a road side checkpoint piece this works a Treat :D

Excellent work mate :D
