1/18 HUEY

Post by sax5thave » Mon Feb 11, 2013 8:25 am

With JSI coming out with an $80 1/18 Huey Hog gunship. I was wondering if you know any modification/custom made to convert this model into a UH-1H troop transport. Having the cabin stretch would be a challenge.

I've seen one stretched, nice work, rhodesian camo, on eBay, made from an english man. But all windows were cloudy, like frozen: probably problems with thinner, paint fumes...
I think Pickelhaube had such a project and has probably made one.

I could get pics from the seller, aquilamoondust ([email protected]), who stretched the cabin of a 21st Bell 204 Huey, and added a modified engine exhaust against AA Strella missiles:

I made a post on this subject when Merit announced the Huey . Then that died on the vine along with the interest in the stretched version.

Now with the news I may have to reassess this project.
