Where did you get the tracks?

Re: 1/6 STUART IN WERK
As far as 1/6 Stuarts go, does anybody know how to increase the radio range on the R/C ones ? I have to be no more than about 10 feet away from mine to get the tank to respond reliably to the controller. I would like to get at least 50 feet away and still have it work. Any radio control geeks among us......?

There must be a glitch in your receiver. The ones I have ran had at least 50 feet worth of range.
Make sure you antennas have their wire leads attached.

Antennas are attached. Tried a longer antenna on the tank, but that made it worse.
Re: 1/6 STUART IN WERK
I recently got one from Pickelhaub and it will run out well past forty to fifty feet with no problems, you might check on one of the RC tank forums to see if there is a solution to your problem.
Oh, by the way the hedge cutter works, but the front plastic isn't quite up to the task, cracked mine

Re: 1/6 STUART IN WERK
I have had several RC Stuarts over the years and all worked up to a minimum of 50 feet.
If mine only worked up to 10', I demand 21C fix me up with a new control unit..... wait, that won't work.... I forgot, 21C is history.
My favorite still is the static version which has the more realistic tracks, allows you to use full size figs....

It still seems like there should be some way to extend the range on these things. I have played with R/C cars that would work at over a quarter mile away, and R/C aircraft don't seem to have range problems.
I should have qualified my original post by saying that with very fresh batteries, I get about 30 feet, which to me is not really enough.

Re: 1/6 STUART IN WERK
I bought my Grandson a 1/6 21C RC Humvee last year (found it at Tuesday Morning for $75). We play with that thing and the range goes up to a full block (3-400 feet). Of course, my son charges it up before playing with it.... er... before my Grandson plays with it. It is very fast, far too fast to be accurately depicting a Humvee, but lots of fun.

Re: 1/6 STUART IN WERK
Very nice , if I can get mine to look as half as good as that I'd be happy.

Contrast that to my RC 1:18 Panzer IV that worked to about 150 feetThreetoughtrucks wrote:I have had several RC Stuarts over the years and all worked up to a minimum of 50 feet.

Flawed or not, I still like the RC 1:6 Stuart - if only for the thrill of being able to drive such a large and noisy RC vehicle around
