SAS Jeep

Post by ram04 » Sun Sep 25, 2011 4:38 pm

Well, while I was down and out with a broken leg, my wife and daughter got this for me to have something to do, now its been a few months later and I'm just now finishing it up, let me know what you think, this was done with rattle can and brush and still needs a few minor touches.

That looks great! Can you take a picture next to some 1:18, I would love to get a sense of the scale.

Thanks guys, I'm by no means a very good painter, I'm just lucky enough to get lots of advice from members here.
I'll post a picture of a 1:18 next to it later, its a very large model.

I saw your model under construction when you posted new pictures of your model room.

When I was in our local hobby store recently they had the 1/6 Jeep kit and having looked in the box and then overcome my initial fear at the parts count, I was on the point of taking it to pay when I realised that stood on the floor behind it was a huge box - the Revell 1/48 B-1b Lancer - and that's a kit I've struggled to find, so I had to go for that instead.

Now seeing your kit completed I think that firstly, you're selling yourself short on your ability and that it looks excellent, and secondly, I'm definitely going to have to give the jeep a second chance!

All the best

Sam

Excellent work :D That's the Dragon kit, correct? My buddy at my local Hobbytown store has been trying to get me to purchase that kit, but instead I've gone for the Panzer II :P

Yes its the Dragon kit and with my eyesight I'm glad its as big as it is, I'd love to try the Panzer, maybe I'll get that for Xmas.

As far as a scale comparison, here a 1:18 SAS that I've started but got side tracked on.
