A Corgi JU-88C Redo

Post by Epap » Fri Sep 23, 2011 4:51 pm

I have always been interested in the air battles fought between the British and Germans over the Bay of Biscay in WW2. The Germans assigned various units, including JU-88Cs-----to give cover to their subs operating from their pens along the French Atlantic sea coast. This led to numerous clashes with British Wellingtons, Sunderlands, B-24s, Beaufighters and the like, with both sides suffering fairly heavy, but largely unreported, losses.

In any event, I bought an extra Corgi JU-88c ( Russian front scheme ) and decided on the following scheme as depicted in this artist's rendition:Image
