Converting An Arado 234 C into a Twin Engine Mode
When IXO released its recent 1:144th scale bomber line it included a 1:72nd scale Arado 234 jet bomber as a promotional ploy. Unfortunately, IXO chose the four engined "C" mark rather than the twin engined version---which is what most collectors want-----and used a rather poor camouflage scheme to boot. A while back, I dusted off my IXO Arado, pried off its engine nacelles and replaced them with a pair "borrowed" from a Dragon kit. After a new paint job and some extra detailing, I now have a twin engined Arado bomber. Here's a picture of the model in its original form:
